Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1, Flower Mound Fire Department and other nearby fire departments were on the scene of a working house fire in Canyon Falls on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the house under construction in the 10700 block of Smoky Oak Trail a little before 4 p.m. Friday. Fire Chief Mac Hohenberger said workers were in the house when they smelled gas, stepped outside and saw that the roof was on fire. Fire investigators are still trying Saturday to determine what the cause of the fire was.
No one was injured, but the house is a total loss, Hohenberger said.
