Local officers take homeless, at-risk teens to Shop with a Cop

Local at-risk and homeless teenagers were taken to Shop with a Cop for Christmas on Wednesday.

Forty police officers from Flower Mound, Lewisville and The Colony paired with the 40 teens for Christmas shopping at Target, according to the Flower Mound Police Department.

The third annual Shop with a Cop event was run by local nonprofit Journey to Dream with Lewisville Independent School District. Several of the teens reside at Kyle’s Place, Journey to Dream’s youth homeless shelter in Lewisville.
