The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Denton County from midnight to 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Temperatures are forecast to be as low as 28 by Friday morning, the coldest of the season so far.
The weather service urges residents to bring in sensitive outdoor plants, disconnect hoses from outdoor faucets, make sure pets have shelter from the cold, and shut off their sprinklers.
