The Flower Mound Police Department recently donated more than 1,100 toys to local underprivileged children through the Santa Cops program.
With the donations from local residents, officers helped 70 families with more than 200 children have a brighter Christmas with the toys and more than 200 gift cards, the department announced on social media Friday. Additionally, 46 pets received food, bedding and toys.
Santa Cops is run each year by the department and the Flower Mound Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. If you missed the deadline but would like to make a donation, the department is collecting donations throughout the year for next year’s Santa Cops toy drive. Donations should be new, unwrapped, non-violent toys and can be dropped off at the FMPD station, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane.
