The city of Highland Village will close the Kids Kastle playground on Dec. 2 through summer 2020.
Kids Kastle and the plaza area at Unity Park, 2200 Briarhill Boulevard, will be closed for reconstruction, according to a news release from the city. The existing Kids Kastle will be demolished and the new community-designed play area will be constructed.
Highland Village staff is planning a pickup event early in 2020 for donated personalized items like fence pickets, tiles and paver stones, according to the city. The dredging of the ponds at Unity Park will take place during this time as well.
