This week, we were named No. 2 “Happiest Small Town in America” Ranking done by: Top Counseling Schools, a website dedicated to providing information for counseling professionals and students.

For the second consecutive year, we were named No. 1 “Most Livable Small City” Ranking done by: SmartAsset, an online personal finance company.

Retail and Restaurant Survey

Flower Mound’s next Retail and Restaurant survey will be conducted THIS summer. Data collected from this survey will be used to assist Flower Mound’s Economic Development Department in pursuing new retail and restaurant opportunities for the future.

Lakeside Business District

Naterra International Inc. has leased approximately 46,000 sq ft at 1200 Lakeside Parkway. Naterra is a leading US manufacturer and market of beauty, baby care and personal care products. Naterra is responsible for such brands as Baby Magic, Tree Hut and TIGI (pronounced tee-GEE) Cosmetics. Use and occupancy of the space is not fully known at this time.

Thirty-One Gifts: The international totes and accessories companies is now operating its national distribution center right here in Flower Mound. Town’s second largest employer, with 650 employees (still hiring). Flower Mound will receive sales tax on any Thirty-One Gifts purchase sourced in Texas.  They chose Flower Mound because of the area’s quality workforce, lower transportation costs, proximity to the airport, and great community

PPG Paints: 450,000-square-foot distribution center now in operation. It is the largest distribution center for architectural paints and coatings in PPG’s U.S. and Canada network.

River Walk Update

Chapel and Special Event Center are almost finished!

Restaurant Row construction is coming along, developer submitted interior finish-out permit applications for the following restaurants, which will be owned by Centurion American:

Nate Champion’s Prime & Steak and Cuvee Wine Bar (these will exist together in one space)
River Social
Pizzeria Ascoli
Los Caminos
Flo Mo’s

Home 2 Suites, an extended-stay hotel, has purchased land in the River Walk and submitted building plans

Lakeside DFW

Lakeside Tower–condos are 75% sold, move-in date coming soon.

Hotel Indigo: agreement is signed on this boutique hotel, part of the IHG brands, building is in design.
