Most of the homeless pets at the Flower Mound Animal Adoption Shelter were adopted Saturday on “Clear the Shelters” day.

The Flower Mound shelter, 3950 Justin Road, joined hundreds of other animal shelters across the country on Saturday to “Clear the Shelters,” an annual national effort to find homeless pets their “furever” homes.

On Saturday, 28 animals were adopted, according to a Flower Mound Animal Services social media post. Five dogs and five cats are still there, as of Monday morning. At the Flower Mound shelter, there is never an adoption fee but new pet parents are required to spay/neuter their new pets and get them a rabies shot, if not already done.
