Flower Mound residents can get an inside look at their fire department in the Citizen’s Fire Academy.

For 12 residents who are 18 or older, the Flower Mound Fire Department will give insights into the day-to-day operations of the fire department, including Fire and EMS Operations, CPR and first aid, fire investigations, motor vehicle extrication and live fire training, according to the department.

The classes will take place on Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m. at the Central Fire Station, starting on Feb. 1 and concluding on March 29. There will also be three Saturday morning classes on Feb. 10, Feb. 24 and March 24. There won’t be any classes during the Lewisville ISD spring break.

Click here for the application, which can be emailed, faxed, mailed, or dropped off at Flower Mound’s Central Fire Station, 3911 South Broadway Ave.
