The Flower Mound Police Department will host an event next month for kids to get set up and prepared to ride their bikes.
Children ages 6 and older are invited to the FMPD Bicycle Rodeo to learn important bicycle safety skills, according to a department Facebook post. Families can meet the FMPD Bike Unit, have a helmet fitting, receive a free helmet, get a bike tune-up and participate in a bicycle obstacle course at the event, which will be from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the FMPD, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane.
