The Flower Mound Super Target store’s renovations are expected to be completed at the end of October, a Target spokeswoman said this week.
Target announced earlier this year that the chain is renovating 28 stores in North Texas to the tune of $220 million.
The Flower Mound renovations include “an all-new grocery experience,” said Kristy Welker, a Target spokeswoman.
A beer and wine alcove is being added to the front of the store, and the apparel and home sections are also receiving a facelift, as is the service counter.
The store, 5959 Long Prairie Road, will remain open during the remodel.
In June, eight DFW stores completed their remodels and hosted grand re-opening events, which can be expected at the Flower Mound location as well. In those stores, each “reimagined” store was renovated top to bottom with new designs, a new floor, wood-grain fixtures, LED lighting and products placed together with lots of meal ideas in the food and beverage department.
Other enhancements to the completed North Texas stores include updates to the order pickup and ship from store services, which are intended to make it easier to order online, according to a news release.
Target added self-checkout lanes with new grab-and-go food offerings at the front of the store.
