Hobby Lobby president to address Denton Prayer Breakfast

The annual Denton Prayer Breakfast will feature Steve Green, president of Hobby Lobby Stores as its keynote speaker on Thursday, November 10, at 6:45 a.m.

The event, to be held at the Gateway Center of the University of North Texas in Denton, is expected to draw over 350 attendees from the Denton business and private community.

Green heads the booming Hobby Lobby retail chain, which is expected to exceed $3.65 billion in sales during the current year. The nationwide chain of arts and craft stores operates over 600 locations in 47 states and employs more than 30,000 people.

Green is the author of two books, Faith in America and The Bible in America.  In addition to his corporate duties, he devotes a significant amount of his time to overseeing The Green Collection, which is among the world’s newest and largest private collections of rare biblical texts and artifacts. He and his family are involved in many national and international Christian ministries and charities.

The Denton Prayer Breakfast began 13 years ago with the mission to bring people together to help support business community leaders, elected officials, school teachers and administrators and all people of Denton County.
