Summer is here and that means it’s time for Lantana’s annual street and sidewalk repair project.
The two fresh water supply districts at their June meetings approved a contract with Grand Prairie-based Property Paving for $36,222 to perform concrete repairs on roads and sidewalks within the community.
“We go out each year and scope out the failures, as well as collect input from residents,” said Lantana General Manager, Kevin Mercer.
The work this year involves approximately 2,500 square feet of road paving and 650 square feet of sidewalk removal and replacement.
Unlike many communities Lantana is responsible for sidewalk repairs, not the individual homeowners.
Motorists are urged to use caution on Lantana Trail as there will be various lane closures while repairs are being made.
