A municipal charter is the basic document that defines the organizations, powers and functions of a municipality; while also governing the actions of Town Council and staff.
Currently, Flower Mound’s Charter is under review and the Charter Review Commission is looking for resident feedback on proposed amendments to the charter including: the size of Town Council; term limits; provisions to the Charter that conflict with State law; guidelines for violations of charter codes; and, three-year terms for council members.
Residents have two opportunities to offer their input.
The first public hearing is set for Tuesday, June 21 and the second will take place Thursday, June 30. Both meetings will begin at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 2121 Cross Timbers Rd.
