The Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce recognized the School of the Month and Student of the Month for May at its monthly meeting Tuesday at Bridlewood Golf Club.
Highland Village Elementary was named the School of the Month and Student Body President Ava Swartz accepted the award on behalf of the campus. The School of the Month Program is sponsored by the Denton Area Teacher Credit Union (DATCU).
Shadow Ridge Middle School 8th-grader Kathleen Doucet was named the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce/Northstar Bank of Texas May Student of the Month.
