As of midnight Saturday, the Double Oak Fire Department rain gauge showed 5.17 inches of rain, with no sign of letting up.
FM 2499 was shut down between Silveron Blvd. and Grapevine Mills Blvd. due to flooding near Denton Creek for the second night in a row on Friday night. It re-opened at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Old Alton Road at Hickory Creek remains closed.

At 12:14 a.m. Friday, DFW Airport recorded 53.56 inches of rain for the year, setting the all-time record for the most rainfall in a year.
