• It’s Day 1 of the Highland Village Balloon Festival. You won’t want to miss out as the giant aircraft light up the sky.

• The Town of Flower Mound is holding a public hearing on the proposed budget for FY 2015-2016 at 6 p.m.  Monday, Aug. 17, at town hall.

• A donation truck fundraiser for the Flower Mound High School Drumline is happening from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the circle drive parking lot today and from 8 a.m. to noon in the main parking lot tomorrow.

• It is an Ozone Action Day. Expect lots of sunshine today and a high of 97.

• Tour three new luxury homes that represent the latest trends and learn more about building practices and mortgage lending tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Highland Village.
