The Hilltop Elementary School archery team was recently honored for its accomplishments at the National Archery Championships, elementary division.
Tuesday evening, Argyle Mayor Peggy Kreuger and team coaches presented several of the 16 students — from third through fifth grade — who competed in the National Archery in Schools Program’s championships, held in Louisville, Kentucky.
About 12,000 students from around the country took aim during the event, including one from Argyle who is now at the top of the elementary division for Texas.
