Good Morning out there! Here are five things you need to know today:
- After the weekend washout, you might be left with flooded areas in your home or on your property. The American Red Cross has posted a list of flood safety tips including what you should do after the water washes through.
- A slight chance of severe thunderstorms is in the forecast for today … and tomorrow … and pretty much the rest of the week. The high today is expected to be 85 degrees, but will likely plummet down to 69 degrees later this evening.
- If you’re in Flower Mound, don’t forget there’s a delay in trash, recycling and bulk pickup. If you have questions you can call 972-539-7378.
- Going on vacation this summer? You might want to think about having some extra eyes on your home while you’re away. If you live in Highland Village, the police department offers vacation watch. You can sign up online.
- The Flower Mound High School concert and symphony string orchestras will give a concert Wednesday evening and if you haven’t already made plans, this sounds like something you won’t want to miss. The chamber orchestra will join with members of the FMHS band, 25 seniors will be recognized for four years of participation. The performance is free and it starts at 7:30 p.m. at the FMHS auditorium.
