Eva Joyce Dyer, 81 of Argyle passed away Wednesday morning, May 13, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Honey Grove, Texas. Rev. Kevin Towery will be presiding. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, they are B. J. Fine, Jonathan Lee, Ricky Fine, Bryson Fine, Tony Fine and Adam Dyer. Interment will be at Allens Point Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation time. Mrs. Dyer will lie in state at the funeral home during normal business hours.
Mrs. Dyer was born on September 4, 1933 to Joe C. and Eva Belle (Thompson) Parrish, in Coppell, Texas. She married Arthur Joe Dyer on March 9, 1962 in Lewisville, Texas. She spent most of her life in Coppell, but also lived in Honey Grove and Argyle for several years. She attended Coppell First Assembly of God Church and the Allens Point Baptist Church. She was a mother, wife and homemaker, but she cooked many years in the Coppell and Argyle school cafeterias.
She is survived by children, Billy Eugene Fine, Clyde Richard Fine, Roger Allen & wife, Becky Fine, Charles Lee & wife, Lovera Dyer all of Argyle, Texas, Beverly Fine of Honey Grove, Shirley & husband, Danny Lee of Lewisville, Texas, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters JoAnn Dyer, Dorothy Wall, Rosie Phillips and Doris Holly, along with many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dyer was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Billy Frank Parrish and a son Bobby Joe Fine.
