HV police seek info on truck theft

Highland Village police are seeking information about the theft of a truck taken from the 400 block of Copperas Trail and later recovered in Lewisville.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, the truck was parked in the street. A suspect’s image was caught on a neighbor’s home video system.

According to police, the suspect was walking along the street. The suspect’s vehicle, a light colored four-door Dodge pickup, can be seen.

The vehicle was recovered, showing the rear driver’s side window broken and the ignition ripped open, police said.

Residents are advised to keep their vehicles in garages whenever possible and to have good exterior security lighting.

Police also suggest installing a home security camera system and offer the opportunity to join the Neighborhood Video Partner program.
