NorthGate Constructors has announced a significant traffic pattern change on FM 2499 in south Flower Mound that will have motorists seeing red… brake lights… this weekend.
Southbound FM 2499 traffic will move to the newly constructed Denton Creek bridge in order for workers to build a new southbound bridge over the creek.
To facilitate the change, southbound FM 2499 will be reduced down to one lane south of Gerault Road to Grapevine Mills Boulevard starting this Friday at 8 p.m. through Monday at 6 a.m. Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route, such as Lakeside Parkway.
All three southbound lanes of FM 2499 will reopen to motorists at 6 a.m. on Monday morning. The northbound lanes of FM 2499 lanes will not be impacted.
The Denton Creek bridge project is expected to be completed this fall.
