Argyle seniors enjoy holiday celebration

The Argyle Seniors enjoyed their Christmas party with Babe’s fried chicken and chicken fried steak furnished by the Argyle Police Department, turkey furnished by Ona Kildisas and side dishes furnished by all who attended.

Our thanks to Jerry and Denise Wilkinson who furnished items to be auctioned off. All of the proceeds went to The Argyle Senior Center.

They still have items for sale if anyone is interested you may contact Stella McDaniel at 940-464-7438.

Jody Bellinghause presented Stella McDaniel with a beautiful Christmas wreath for her appreciation for the work she has done for the seniors.

The seniors meet each week on Wednesday and Friday to exercise at 10 a.m. and play games at 11 a.m.

The third Friday of each month they have a pot luck luncheon with The Argyle Police Department furnishing the meat. Those who attend are asked to bring a covered dish.

The next pot luck luncheon will be Friday, Jan. 16, at noon. Some of the seniors will celebrate the old Year out and the New Year in at the home of Stella McDaniel, playing games and enjoying fellowship.

Happy New Year and God’s blessings on each of you!
