Carol Kyer of Flower Mound has filed to seek a sixth term on the Lewisville Independent School District Board of Trustees.
Kyer, who sits in Place 7, has served as school board president for five of the past six years.
“It’s a tremendous honor to serve the students and families of our school district,” said Kyer. “I am grateful that the citizens of our school community have trusted me to serve five terms and my hope is I have earned their trust for another term.”
Tracy Scott Miller of Highland Village has also filed in Place 7.
Miller ran unsuccessfully last year in a three way race for the open Place 3 trustee seat that was vacated by Mark Welding.
As a former Double Oak resident, Miller served on the Double Oak Town Council as Mayor Pro-Tem, Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem, Treasurer, and Deputy Treasurer.
In Place 6, Mike McDaniel of Highland Village has filed to run for a second term. He has yet to draw an opponent.
The last day to file for the May 10 Municipal Election is Feb. 28.
