Lifelong Learning, the continuing education division of North Central Texas College, will offer two Severe Weather Preparedness classes for Denton County residents.
Kelly Roark, a Skywarn Spotter at the Denton County Amateur Radio Emergency Service, will explain the science of weather watching, the essentials needed for an emergency kit, and who can help in case of an emergency.
The two-hour classes meet Tuesday, June 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the NCTC Corinth Campus, 1404 N. Corinth Street, Suite 307 in Corinth, and in Flower Mound on Monday, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., at 1200 Parker Square.
Both classes are designed to help residents learn how to stay alive during a severe weather event.
