The Liberty Christian baseball team won the TAPPS 5A State Championship Tuesday, defeating defending state champions Houston St. Pius X by a score of 6-1.
Liberty Christian finished fourth at state last season.
Jordan Parker earned the victory for the Warriors, and Connor McCann doubled in the game.
Liberty finished the season with a 26-9 record.
