Wesley Ryan Sikes, 22, of Double Oak was arrested after a brief high speed motorcycle chase Friday night.
Police said that Double Oak Officer Blake Ringberg attempted to stop the motorcyclist near Kings Rd. and Lusk Ln. just before 10 p.m. after seeing him blow through a stop sign and pass a vehicle in a no passing zone.
Sikes refused to stop and took off northbound on Simmons Rd., headed eastbound on FM 407 at speeds over 90 miles per hour and then turned southbound on Chinn Chapel Rd.
The pursuit ended when Sikes lost control of his motorcycle at the intersection of Chinn Chapel Rd. and Waketon Rd.
He was taken into custody for evading arrest with a vehicle, a state jail felony, and transported to the Denton County Jail.
Sikes has a prior arrest in 2007 of possession of a controlled substance by the Argyle Police Department, according to county jail records.
