The Argyle Lions Club completed their first fundraiser last month with the conclusion of the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo.
The winner of the saddle was Charles Stephens from Krum, TX. Stephens purchased a single raffle ticket.
When Lion members Susan Curry-Langston and Curtis Langston delivered the saddle on Sunday morning, they realized that Stephens did not have a horse!
When asked what he was going to do with the saddle, Stephens replied that it was going to be donated to the group Cowboys with Cancer for another fundraiser. What a way to pay it forward.
The Argyle Lions Club was chartered on June 19, 2012 and is currently accepting new members.
