Have a blue ribbon time at North Texas State Fair & Rodeo

Enjoy live concerts, rodeos, live stock shows, numerous contests, pageants, shopping, a kids zone, an extensive midway and carnival, food and more at the 84th North Texas State Fair and Rodeo in Denton from August 17 to 25.

The fair is one of the largest events in Denton County and it is home to one of the largest PRCA rodeos in the Southwest. This year’s total attendance is expected to exceed 140,000.

This year’s on the Budweiser stage the talent includes Wade Bowen, Casey Donahew Band, Emilio Navaira, Jason Meadows, Max Staling, The Turnpike Troubadours, The Josh Abbott Band, Stoney LaRue, and John Anderson. Several acts, such as Justin McBride, will be performing on the Bud Light stage as well.

In addition to the music there is a professional rodeo every night in Miller Lite Rodeo Arena along with many livestock shows in the First State Bank Livestock Pavilion.

Guests definitely do not want to miss events as thrilling as the Miller Light Bull Blowout or as delightful as Mutton Bustin’.

Be sure to spend some time at the Carnival run by Talley Amusements, who are known for providing a fun, safe, clean, wholesome atmosphere with rides, food, games and attractions.

This year’s newest attractions include the Great American Duck Race sponsored by CoServ. Other activities include the Peterbilt Kids Tracker Pull, Spirit Horse presented by Darr/JCB, DRC Photography contests, rodeo queen pageants, youth art, petting zoo, bounce houses, rock wall, fun & games and more.

Don’t sweat it because the North Texas State Fair is always a cool place to enjoy your summer with over 110,000 square feet of misted, shaded and air conditioned areas.
