Daughters of The Republic of Texas will meet

The Peters Colony Chapter of The Daughters of The Republic of Texas will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, in the home of Mary Jean Donovan located at 300 Shadow Wood in Argyle. 

The chapter will welcome and recognize new members and will discuss updates on its service projects, especially during Alamo Heroes Day on Mar. 6 and San Jacinto Day on April 21.  Also the chapter will recognize the anniversary of its sponsored Peters Colony Chapter of The Children of The Republic of Texas on April 9.   

Women aged 16 and over are invited to attend its meeting to learn more about the chapter and DRT.  For more information or to RSVP for its meeting, please contact Diana White at [email protected] or 940-387-4741. 

Youth aged 21 and under are invited to learn more about The Peters Colony Chapter of CRT, whose bylaws, membership criteria, and objectives are the same as DRT.  

The Daughters of The Republic of Texas is an organization of approximately 6,700 members in 106 chapters whose goals are to cherish and to help preserve the unity of Texas as achieved and established by the men and women who aided and served in The Texas Revolution and to perpetuate their memories, to foster education, preservation, and publication of Republic of Texas historical documents, relics, and sites, including The Alamo, as well as to promote the celebration of Texas Honor Days.
